The Vermeer/Glowing Embers
4 Day Class

This Dutch roombox was inspired by the work of the
famous painter, Johannes Vermeer of Delft, reflecting a time period
in the mid 1600's. The front trim is classic Dutch style.
The exterior walls are finished with weathered brick and plaster,
while the sloped roof is finished with copper and patina.
A small up stairs window allows the viewer a glimpse of the shadowy
attic. The interior focuses on a fireplace that has been surrounded
with Delft tiles. The remains in the fireplace are soft and
glowing, adding a feeling of cozy warmth to the room. Complementary
tiles cover the floor. The window wall on the left side permits
entrance of faint light from an illuminated exterior street scene.
Soft interior illumination completes this wonderful project.
The size measures 11-1/2" wide by 9-1/2" deep by
22" high.
